NYIOP Baroque / Händel Auditions

For the first time NYIOP International, LLC will organize the first NYIOP Baroque / Händel Auditions in Halle exclusively for the baroque ‘niche’ of the opera world, with a special emphasis on the stage repertoire of G.F. Händel. Hosted in Halle Germany, Händel’s birth place, by the Opernhaus Halle NYIOP Baroque / Händel Auditions will be attended by leading conductors, opera houses, festivals and other music institutions dedicated to Baroque opera, concert music and oratorio. Once again singers will get the opportunity to introduce themselves with only one audition to a number of people who cast in this particular repertoire.

Application Procedures and Fees:
The singers presented at the NYIOP Baroque / Händel Auditions in Halle will be selected based on their performance experience in baroque music.

The participation fee is 400 Euros (or US$520) per person.
To apply, please e-mail your resume / CV and picture to info@nyiop.com or via FAX to +1 646 219 3160 by February 1, 2006. The singers admitted into the NYIOP Baroque / Händel Auditions in Halle will be assigned a specific time on one of the two audition days. Everybody will sing a minimum of two pieces and should prepare at least 4 pieces (arias, songs or excepts of about 3-5 minutes from larger pieces). Auditions will be accompanied by piano. Pianist fees are not included in the fee and pianists are not provided by NYIOP, however a list of available pianists will be furnished upon request or posted here at a future date. ***********************************************
